When the seasons change, my food cravings follow suit. It doesn’t matter that it was rather warm this past weekend here in Los Angeles, my internal clock knows it’s autumn.

While thumbing through old photos, I spotted the Fresh Air Bar-B-Que sign, shown above. Now, I could eat bar-b-que just about any old time of year. But in the fall (and winter), I especially tend to wax poetic about Georgia que. And Georgia Brunswick Stew! Y’all! The Brunswick Stew was always one of my very favorite things when I was a kid. I can almost smell and taste it now. I can certainly see it. With a Co-Cola – in a little  bottle – on the side.

I love food memories. They are honest and true.
