I told you about how Mister and I made marshmallows for the first time and that they were to be part of our holiday sharing. Now I’m telling you about the rest of the package.

Stealing Taking a tip from UseRealButter, we decided to keep the cookie factory closed this year and make from-scratch cocoa mix instead. Having tried the finished product, we are quite happy with our decision. For the record, I did alter the UseRealButter recipe slightly by adding cayenne pepper. I don’t know what to tell you. Sometimes I just can’t help myself.

When all was said and done, we barely made enough of these to cover our service folks and one neighbor. And that’s okay. The packages are pretty and the mix and marshmallows are truly homemade. And Mister and I were definitely in a loving holiday mode while we put these babies together. That counts for something, right?

As we wind down this year’s clock, I have no idea how we’ll wrap up these little weekly creative missions of ours. I do know this, though: it sure has been fun.
