I was in L.A. for a meeting. I was a little early, so I walked down the street a bit and saw this across the lanes.

I love so many things about this street art. The way the red fire alarm looks like a mole. The way the subject seems to be looking up at the dip in the building’s skyline. The beautiful signs of life on the face. The fact that it is there at all, for every passerby to take in.

Traffic was nonexistent when I drove to that appointment. That doesn’t always happen in L.A. But on that day, it did. And it gave me just enough time to take in my surroundings.

I’m so very glad to have looked around. And to have actually seen.
