My painting buddy – the multi-talented Nicole J. Butler – has finished a painting and is auctioning it off for charity. How cool is that!

Nicole was inspired by The Africa Yoga Project and its mission to “educate, empower and elevate” young people in Kenya’s urban slums. Their website is lovely and inspirational. That’s where she spotted a photograph by Robin O’Neill and decided to paint the image. She reached out to the photographer, and, once permission and blessings were received, she just done went and gone and done it! I could try and tell you more, but trust me, Nicole’s enthusiasm and research are far more informative. (Please visit her auction page to get a dose of said information.) The fact that she’s putting this work out there to raise money for The Africa Yoga Project is, well, admirable.

Art is all around us, friends. Here is an example of art for charity. I love, love, love the intent and the super-cool painting! Hallelujah!
